I haven't touched this project in a while. It's possible I've hit a roadblock in my efforts to recreate my list through HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The project might have to lie dormant for a time. It will always be around if I psyche myself up to trying again. In the meantime, it always bugged me how that project would looked in the grid/thumbnail view of my site. It showed zoomed in and cropped to an awkward view, which was made only more awkward by the fact that most of the image is transparent. If something is going to float on a page, then it can't be cut off by some invisible frame. I decided to make a version of the chart that would fit the proportions the thumbnail (which annoyingly doesn't match my default 3:4.)
I ended up going back to my original concept graphic, because, surprise surprise, it best showcased the visual concept. I updated the colors to be consistent with what became the "final graphic" and hid the text. It's a thumbnail after all, tiny text just wouldn't make sense.
